Autobutton: 55 years mini anniversary

, 1 min reading time

The Mini is 55 years old. We created a button with the Austin Mini theme for this reason. I hope you like it?

Believe it or not, 55 years ago, on August 26, 1959, the Austin Mini (first named Austin Seven and Morris Mini-Minor) was launched. By the time production ceased in October 2004, 5,387,862 cars would have been produced, making the Mini, as it is commonly known, the most-produced car in Britain. No other car (perhaps apart from luxury brands like Rolls-Royce or Land Rover) is as closely associated with the island as the Mini, comparable to the VW Beetle and Germany. The Austin Mini stands for the 1960s, for the time of the "Roaring Sixties" and for Britishness.

The Austin Mini lives on in the form of the new Mini, which is produced under the BMW umbrella and is also very successful, even if the models differ significantly from one another (the original Mini was a cheap car, the current one aimed more at wealthy buyers).

Enough with automotive history. We thought that car models for buttons would also be appropriate and just started designing - and this is what came out:

Austin Mini Button

Which cars do you like as a button?

As always, imitations are welcome! After all, there are more than enough car models. And Oldtimer in particular looks great on buttons - back then, cars still had different shapes.
